No subscription, no recurring fees. If you have seen other providers charge $49 to $197 for a "lifetime" code: a dynamic code is only a short redirect, no media storage, on EU hosting that costs little to run. That is why €4.99 covers it for good.

Your data is hosted in Frankfurt, Germany (Supabase EU and Vercel fra1). Only essential cookies for the login session, no marketing tracking and no third-party pixels.

How it works technically

Apple and Google support a standardized WiFi QR format. Scan such a code with the camera app and the phone suggests "Join network?", one tap, done.

The format is a text string that looks like this:

WIFI:T:WPA;S:CafeCorner;P:onecoffeeplease;;

• T:WPA = encryption type (WPA, WPA2 and WPA3 are all encoded as WPA)
• S:CafeCorner = SSID, the WiFi name
• P:onecoffeeplease = the password

If your network is open (no password), use: WIFI:T:nopass;S:NetworkName;;

Step 1: Have your WiFi details ready

• SSID (the exact name as it appears in the WiFi menu, case-sensitive)
• Password
• Encryption type, usually WPA2 or WPA3 (in the router admin or on the router's label)

Step 2: Enter the network details in the generator

The WiFi mode is already open in the generator above. Enter:

• Network name (SSID) exactly as it appears on the phone, including upper and lower case
• Password
• Encryption, usually WPA/WPA2

Step 3: Optional: add your logo

If the code ends up on a café table or a hotel room card, your own logo looks more professional. In the generator above: "Colors & shape" → upload logo.

Step 4: Print

• PNG for normal print (300 DPI)
• SVG for vector workflows (Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer)
• Minimum size: 4 × 4 cm (1.6 × 1.6 in) for distances up to 50 cm (20 in)

Tips from practice

Special characters in the password

If your password contains ;, :, ,, \ or ", escape it with a backslash:

• my;password → my\;password

Hidden SSID

If your network name is not broadcast (stealth mode), adjust the format:

WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;H:true;;

Several codes for different networks (guest vs. main)

Recommendation: set up a separate guest network with its own password and only display the code for the guest network. Your main network stays protected.

FAQ

Does it work on iPhone and Android? Yes, both have supported the WIFI QR format natively for years. On iPhone since iOS 11, on Android since 10. Older devices may need a QR scanner app.

Is my WiFi password sent to you? No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser. We see neither SSID nor password. You can check that yourself in the network tab of your browser's developer tools.

How secure is a WiFi QR code? As secure as the password itself. Anyone who photographs the printed code has your password. Do not hang it up in public view if it is your main network. For cafés, hotels, coworking: use a guest network.

Can I change the QR code later (new password)? With a static WiFi code: no, the code has to be reprinted. With a dynamic QR code the code points to an intermediate URL you can swap in the dashboard, but for WiFi that is unusual because the WiFi mode uses the direct connect flow.

My iPhone does not ask to connect Three common causes:

1. Use the iOS camera app (not a third-party scanner app)
2. Wrong encryption type: if your router uses WEP, put T:WEP instead of T:WPA in the string
3. Special characters in the password were not escaped (see above)

Do I need an account? No, this is a static QR code, completely free on this page. You only need an account if you want to change the destination later (= dynamic QR code).
